Elementary Student Drop Off Procedures

Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. Students should not arrive on campus before 7:45 a.m. For the safety of all 93rd Street elementary students, we would appreciate your adhering to the following procedures: When dropping your child off at school, please do not DOUBLE PARK YOUR VEHICLE. There is a designated drop-off area located in front of the school, near the main entrance and on 95th Street. We ask that the flow of traffic keep moving by pulling as far forward and dropping your child off NEAR OR PAST the grass area in front of the school. If you wish to help your child carry something to his/her classroom, we ask that you park your car in the surrounding neighborhood and use the Pedestrian Crossing. Please be courteous to staff and others and do not block the lanes of traffic within both 93rd and 95th Streets. Please watch for children while in these areas. Staff members will be on duty during the morning arrival time and afternoon dismissal time for the safety of the children and to keep the traffic moving smoothly. We highly encourage you to visit our main office to see Mr. Williams to join the valet program so we may get additional support keeping our children safe. We also ask that students exit the vehicle from the passenger side of your vehicle so as to not walk between vehicles to the sidewalk. Parents are also asked to STAY IN THEIR VEHICLE while in the Parent Drop-Off lane. These rules are for student safety!

Please do not leave your car unattended, at any time, in front or back of the school. We have asked our local police department to support us in ticketing individuals that leave their cars in the middle of the street.

STUDENT PICKUP PROCEDURES: 

The school day ends at 2:19 p.m. It is requested that you do not pick your child(ren) up from their classroom and please refrain from checking students out after 2:00p.m as our Pupil Attendance counselor is monitoring families closely. This will eliminate disruption during the last 15 minutes of the school day. A designated “Parent Waiting Area” has been set up in the front of the main office.

KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS ARE PICKED UP @ 93rd Street

FIRST & SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS ARE PICKED UP @ Town Street & 95th

SECOND & FOURTH GRADE IN MAIN GATE ON @ 95th Street (East)

THIRD & 5TH GRADE STUDENTS ARE PICKED UP @ 95th Street (West)

When picking-up your child, you may park your car in the surrounding neighborhood and not in staff parking lot. This may lead to your car being towed at owner’s expense. Please use the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING to model safety and wait for your child in the designated Waiting Area located next to the Office. Students may also be picked up by car in the designated front of school and back of school entrances. Please pull as far forward as possible to make room for others picking up their children and to help with the flow of traffic. We also ask that students enter the vehicle from the passenger side of your vehicle and not walk between vehicles to the driver's side. This rule is for student safety!

Picking Up Your Child Early (Not recommended)

When checking a child out of school early, you must come to the office first to sign your child out. You will need a photo I.D. for verification purposes. If someone other than the parents are to pick up a child, that person must have a photo I.D. and be listed on your child's emergency card before the child will be permitted to leave the building. Please keep in mind we do not recommend frequent early leaves as this could lead towards legal notices for your family.

 

Procedimientos para dejar a los Estudiantes

Las clases comienzan a las 8:00am.  Los estudiantes no deben llegar a la escuela antes de las 7:45am Para la seguridad de todos los estudiantes de la escuela primaria 93rd Street, nosotros apreciaríamos si ustedes pueden cumplir con los siguientes procedimientos: Al dejar a su hijo/a en la escuela, por favor no estacionar su vehículo en doble fila. Hay una zona asignada para bajar a los estudiantes enfrente de la escuela, cerca de la entrada principal y otra en la calle 95.  Nosotros queremos que el flujo de tráfico sea más favorable y se mantenga en movimiento por favor de orillarse lo más adelante posible y dejar a los estudiantes  CERCA O PASADA la zona del césped en frente de la escuela.  Si usted desea ayudar a su hijo/a a llevar algo a su salón de clases, le pedimos que estacione su automóvil en la calle alrededor del vecindario y utilizar el paso peatonal.

Por favor, sea cortés con el personal y otras personas.  Favor de no bloquear los carriles de tráfico en la calle 93 y calle 95.  Por favor  Esté pendiente de los niños mientras este en esta áreas. Los miembros del personal estarán en servicio durante la hora de llegada y de salida para la seguridad de los estudiantes y para mantener el tráfico en movimiento sin problemas.  Están cordialmente invitados a visitar al Señor Williams para unirse al programa de voluntarios de valet parking, para que podamos obtener más voluntarios para mantener a nuestros niños seguros. También pedimos que los estudiantes salgan del vehículo del lado del pasajero con el fin de caminar por la acera, para la mayor protección de los estudiantes.  También se les pide a los padres que se queden en su VEHÍCULO mientras están en el carril de bajada para los estudiantes.  Estas reglas son para la seguridad de los estudiantes! Por favor, no deje su automóvil desatendido, en ningún momento si se parquea en la parte delantera o trasera de la escuela.  Nosotros hemos pedido al departamento de policía local para que nos ayuden con las personas que dejan sus coches en medio de la calle y les estarán dando una multa.

Procedimientos para recoger a los Estudiantes

El día escolar se termina a las 2:19pm.  Se le solicita que usted no recoja a su hijo/a del salón de clases y por favor  trate de no sacar a los estudiantes después de las 2:00pm.  Nuestro consejero de Asistencia está monitoreando de cerca la asistencia estudiantil.  Esto eliminará interrupción durante los últimos 15 minutos del día escolar. Se ha creado un área de espera para padres junto a la oficina principal. Al recoger a su hijo/a, usted debe de estacionarse en los alrededores del vecindario y no en el estacionamiento  asignado para el personal de la escuela.  Si se estacionara dentro de la escuela su automóvil puede ser remolcado a costo del propietario. FAVOR DE UTILISAR EL PASO  PEATONAL para mayor seguridad, y espere a su hijo/a junto a la oficina en el lugar asignado para espera.  Los estudiantes pueden ser recogidos por carro en las áreas asignadas de entrada enfrente y atrás de la escuela.  Por favor recoja a los estudiantes lo más adelante posible para dar cabida a otros padres para que recojan a sus hijo/a y ayudar con el flujo de tráfico. También pedimos que los estudiantes entren en el vehículo al lado del pasajero de su vehículo y que no camine entre los vehículos por el lado del conductor. Esta regla es para la seguridad de los estudiantes!

Recoger a su hijo/a temprano

Si va a sacar a un estudiante temprano de la escuela, debe venir a la oficina primero para llenar la forma para salir temprano. Usted necesitará una Identificación con foto para verificar su identidad.  Si alguien que no sea los padres va a recoger a un estudiante, esa persona debe tener una identificación con foto y estar incluido/a en la tarjeta de emergencia de su hijo/a antes de que se permita al estudiante salir de la escuela.  Por favor, tenga en cuenta que no recomendamos que saque a los estudiantes temprano frecuentemente ya que esto podría conducir hacia avisos legales para su familia.
